Mark E. Meyer, MD
Board-certified neurosurgeon
Dr. Meyer is a neurosurgeon with Borgess Spine. He has also contributed to several publications and presentations in his field and is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Meyer earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas and then went on to complete his internship in general surgery and residency in neurological surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. At school, Dr. Meyer was a member of several honor societies including Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, Phi Beta Kappa national honor society, Alpha Chi Sigma professional chemistry fraternity and Phi Lambda Upsilon honorary chemistry fraternity. He was also a Summerfield Scholar.
Dr. Meyer is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Spinal Injury Association, Kalamazoo Academy of Medicine, Michigan Association of Neurological Surgeons, Michigan State Medical Society and the Medical Society of Pan American Doctors. He has served as teaching assistant and research assistant in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Kansas. He also served as research assistant for the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Meyer was a Chief of Division in the Neurological Surgery division of the Department of Surgery at Borgess Medical Center. He was also International Program Director and USA Program Director for the Medical Society of Pan American Doctors. He was Resident Rotation Coordination at in the Department of Emergency Medicine Surgery Department for KCMS. He was Chairman of the Clinical Operations Committee in the Neuro Center of Excellence at Borgess Medical Center. Dr. Meyer has also contributed to several publications and presentations in his specialty and is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
