Dr. Brockman is a graduate of Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL, and completed an internship in general surgery from Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. He received his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation from Chicago Medical School /Hines Veteran’s Hospital and Loyola University Medical Center.

Board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, he is a member of the Michigan State Medical Society, Indiana State Medical Society, and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Brockman has been in practice for 15 years. Prior to Borgess Spine, he served as a local physiatrist in Kalamazoo for six years. He is a frequent presentor on living with joint pain, nonsurgical management of back pain and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation.
